“That’s something we have been preaching since before the season started. We just kept preaching it once the season started.”
On if he was aware of his surroundings when getting to the end zone
“Last time I carried it like that was probably in high school. I watched the video and it looked kind of close, but I didn’t feel anyone coming towards me. I was excited to celebrate with my teammates.”
On if there was momentum on their side
“Oh yeah, it was just a good play. We got a turnover and we needed to capitalize on it. Once we got the ball we knew we needed to score.”
On the defensive play in the second half
“I’ll give the adjusts to Coach Lambert. He came in and talked to us at halftime and kind of switched up what we were going to do. We all kept a level head and everyone was able to communicate that. It worked out for us.”
On if they made it too easy for Nebraska’s offense in the first half
“Yeah at certain points it definitely was. We screwed up on certain things but when Coach Lambert talked to us we figured some little things out.”
On the opportunity against Michigan State
“Just another opportunity at home. We’ve got to be able to show out and get a win for our fans.”
