On if the guys were trying to do too much in the first half
“I don’t know about that. You’ve got a game plan, but a team is always going to throw a few things that you don’t normally do. Things you don’t normally expect.”
On how Jalen Graham’s interception changed the momentum
“When you have a big play like that it’s great. It changes the game for sure. We had four picks right. Defensively we didn’t have a great first half but in the second half we really stepped it up. I’m really proud of all the guys.”
On if there is a key to the defense stepping up their play
“We are just emphasizing it more and more in practice. Just breaking down the huddle and saying turnovers, turnovers, turnovers, began to manifest it a little if you will. Just coming out with the ball and getting our eyes on the ball is really the biggest change."
On how they kept Nebraska's Adrian Martinez in check
“He is a big part of the game for them, obviously. He does a very good job of moving around. In the first half we kind of tried to get after him. In the second half we just played our assignments. I think we handled him about as good as we could.”
On how they are only one game away from being bowl eligible
“It’s great but we are taking one game at a time obviously. We are on to Michigan State. We don’t care about our record, and we don’t care about their record. We are just going to play one snap at a time.”
On the big opportunity they have
“It’s what you play college football for. We don’t have all the pressure on our shoulders. We are just going to play.”
