17 Huskers Named Easton/NFCA All-America Scholar Athletes

The National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) announced the 2020-21 Easton/NFCA All-America Scholar-Athletes on Tuesday, and 17 current and former Huskers were honored for their achievements. 

Brooke Andrews, Billie Andrews, Tristen Edwards, Olivia Ferrell, Sydney Gray, MJ Green, Payton Huscroft, Kaylin Kinney, Caitlynn Neal, Abbey Newlun, Anni Raley, Karlee Seevers, Abbie Squier, Rylie Unzicker, Courtney Wallace, Cam Ybarra and Sarah Yocom were all recognized for their efforts. 

The NFCA also announced the Academic Team rankings for the 2020-21 school year. The Nebraska softball team ranked 23rd with a team GPA of 3.657, the second-highest in the Big Ten behind Michigan State. 

In order to be eligible, student-athletes must earn a 3.5 GPA or higher for the 2020-21 academic year.
