Successful Trip For The Huskers In Milwaukee

Milwaukee, Wisc. -- The Nebraska women's tennis team completed play at the Milwaukee Tennis Classic on Sunday.

Sophomores Maja Makoric and Kristina Novak swept the court in doubles play today against Indiana 6-0. The Husker doubles teams finished 1-1 on the weekend.
 
Makoric had her first singles match this fall as she faced Ava Markham of Wisconsin losing 6-0, 6-4.

Doubles:
Makoric/Novak (NEB) def. Indiana 6-0

Day 1 Results

Sophomores Isabel Adrover Gallego and Kristina Novak competed in two rounds of singles play on Saturday along with one Husker doubles team. 

In her first match of the day, Novak defeated Lucie Devier of North Texas 6-3, 6-4 before she went on to face Sabina Machalova from Ole Miss, but fell 6-3, 6-0.

Fellow sophomore Adrover Gallego went 1-1 on the day as defeated Emma Staker OU 6-3, 7-6 (2) in straight sets and then lost a two-set match to USC's Eryn Cayetano 6-3, 6-2.

The Husker doubles team went 0-1 in Fridays opening round of play. Maja Makoric and Kristina Novakwent up against Brindtha Ramasamy and Laura Rico of Miami University 7-6 (1).
