Lincoln, Neb. – Nebraska men's tennis has been named an ITA All-Academic Team, as announced by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association on Monday. The organization also named five Huskers as ITA Scholar-Athletes.
Juniors Patrick Cacciatore, Bradley Mittleman, Victor Moreno Lozano, Brandon Perez and sophomore Chester Wickwire were recognized for their academic success in 2020-21. Moreno Lozano and Cacciatore are two-time honorees, also receiving the award in 2020. All will return for the 2021-22 season.
To be eligible for the team award, teams must have a combined GPA of 3.20 or higher. To earn ITA Scholar-Athlete status, a player must be a varsity letterwinner, have a grade-point average of at least 3.50 (on a 4.0 scale) for the current academic year and have been enrolled at their present school for at least two semesters.
