Senior Quarterback Brandon Peters
On the offensive performance
"I thought we were well prepared, and you know we played physical up front today. Give a lot of props to the O-line, they made a lot of things happen up front that opened up holes for our running backs. When you can play a balanced offense like that when you can throw it a little bit, get first downs, and run the ball that really helps a lot."
On the win
"Winning it's always a great feeling and today you know the turning point in the game was getting that turnover real early in the game. That just gave us a lot of momentum moving forward and from that point forward we didn’t stop. You got to give a lot of props to the defense as well. They forced a lot of turnovers and gave us good field position. All-round we played a really, really solid game."
Sophomore Running back Chase Brown
On what he envisioned transferring to Illinois
"I mean making the transfer I just knew I wanted to make an impact here and to show that I can run hard and make some plays for the team and I’m just glad we got the ‘W’ today."
On what it meant to score a rushing touchdown this week
"It was a big moment for me I mean it was my first career rushing touchdown and I had two in the first quarter. I was super happy. It all starts with the five guys up front blocking for me so I got to give a huge shout out because without them none of this would have been possible."
