LINCOLN, Neb. – Five Nebraska grapplers are set to compete in men's freestyle at UWW Junior and U23 Nationals this weekend. The event will be held Friday to Sunday, Nov. 13-15 at the Convention Center at CHI Health Center in Omaha.
Huskers competing at UWW Junior Nationals include sophomore Ridge Lovett, redshirt freshman Isaiah Alford, and freshmen Dominick Serrano and Elise Brown Ton. Sophomore Jordan Kelber will wrestle at UWW U23 Nationals.
A 2020 honorable mention All-American and NCAA qualifier, Lovett returns to action this weekend after finishing 2-2 overall in Greco-Roman at last month's Senior Nationals. In his first outing since joining the Huskers, Serrano also wrestled at Senior Nationals, earning a 2-2 record in freestyle. This weekend marks the first competition of the fall for Kelber, Alford and Brown Ton.
Men's freestyle will be contested on Saturday and Sunday. The first session of the day begins at 9 a.m. and the second starts at 3p.m. Wrestling resumes Sunday at 9 a.m. and the final session begins at 2:30 p.m.
In all styles, the winner of each weight class will qualify for the 2021 Senior World Team Trials and the 2021 Junior World Team Trials, if age eligible.

UWW Junior and U23 Nationals will be conducted in accordance with requirements set by state and local health authorities. Safety provisions of the USA Wrestling Return to Events Guidelines will also be followed.
