The Nebraska men's tennis team (1-6, 0-0 Big Ten) will travel to Texas this weekend for a two-match road trip that will complete a five-match sequence away from Lincoln. NU will take on UTSA on Saturday, Feb. 22, at 2 p.m. CT in San Antonio before heading down to Austin, where the Huskers face off with the No. 5 Texas Longhorns on Sunday, Feb. 23, at 11 a.m. CT.

Scouting UTSA
• The Roadrunners come off a two-match winning streak, knocking off Louisiana in Lafayette, 5-2, on Sunday, Feb. 9, and defeating UIW at home, 7-0, on Wednesday, Feb. 20.
• Before that, UTSA fell short to UC Davis in California and to Portland in a neutral site match played in Dallas.
• Senior Kai Breitbach leads the Roadrunner lineup at the No. 1 spot, as the German has posted two singles wins so far. Breitbach entered last season ranked No. 66 nationally.
• The Roadrunners will play Texas on Sunday, Feb. 23, at 3:30 p.m. CT -- right after NU's match against the Longhorns.
Scouting Texas
• The Longhorns are off to a strong start this season, ranked No. 5 in the country by the latest (Feb. 18) ITA rankings. Texas has wins over five ranked opponents this season (Florida, Florida State, Georgia, UCLA, and Stanford).
• Texas comes off a 4-2 neutral site victory over No. 8 Stanford last Sunday, Feb. 16. The Longhorns took the doubles point and took that momentum into singles play, capturing wins at No. 6, No. 4, and No.1.
• Senior Yuya Ito leads the lineup at No. 1 with a 6-2 dual season record and a 23-3 overall. The Yokohama, Japan, native is ranked at No. 2 nationally by ITA in the most recent (Feb. 18) rankings.
• No. 6 Christian Sigsgaard and No. 45 Siem Woldeab are the two other nationally-ranked players, while the duo of Ito and Sisgaard ranks at No. 6 and Sisgaard/Woldeab rank at No. 30.
• The Longhorns host a doubleheader on Sunday, taking on UTSA at 3:30 p.m. CT.
Series History
• Nebraska is undefeated against UTSA since 2000 -- the Huskers have won six matches over the Roadrunners in that period. The most recent match between them took place in 2009, when NU knocked off UTSA, 7-0, in San Antonio.
• NU's last win over Texas was February 21, 1999, when the Huskers took the match in Lincoln, 4-3. Since 2000, Nebraska is 0-13 against the Longhorns.

Moreno Starts Strong
• Sophomore Victor Moreno Lozano started off the season at No. 2, but quickly took over the No. 1 spot after notching singles wins at Vanderbilt, vs. Auburn and vs. UMKC.
• The Madrid, Spain, native also had a strong fall season, earning seven singles wins. So far, Moreno holds a 10-9 overall record.
Freshmen Racking Up Wins
• Shunya Maruyama, from Nagano, Japan, owns a team-best four dual season wins, while Newport Beach, Calif., native Andre Saleh posted another two singles victories.
• Saleh was a five-star recruit and the No. 52-rated prospect in the nation, while Maruyama was a four-time International Tennis Federation (ITF) Junior Doubles Champion before joining Nebraska.
Maymi Sets Strong Schedule in 2020
• Nebraska will face 13 opponents ranked in the top-50 nationally as of the end of last season: Texas (No. 1), Ohio State (No. 3), Baylor (No. 6), Illinois (No. 15), Oklahoma (No. 17), Michigan (No. 20), UCF (No. 31), Vanderbilt (No. 32), Penn State (No. 33), Minnesota (No. 39), Iowa (No. 44), Oregon (No. 47) and Indiana (No. 49).
