Lincoln, Neb. - The Nebraska men's gymnastics team came back from a loss to have a strong performance at home finishing in first with a score of 409.150. Minnesota came in second finishing with their season-high score of 404.700. Army West Point finished in third with a score of 389.150.
The Huskers were led by Evan Kriley and Jake Bonnay who both claimed two event titles. Kriley claimed the vault and all-around titles notching career-highs for both events, 14.55 and 81.10. Bonnay claimed the floor and parallel bar titles with scores of 14.55 and 14.25 respectively. Freshman Cooper Giles claimed the pommel horse title with a score of 13.80.
The Huskers had 14 career-highs to highlight the win at the Bob Devaney Sports Center.
Rotation One
The Huskers started out the afternoon scoring a 68.20 on floor. NU was led by senior Jake Bonnay who notched a 14.55. Zach Peters followed with a score of 14.15. Charlie Giles earned a career-high with a score of 14.00. Evan Hymanson scored a 13.30 while Moritz Mueller earned a 12.45. Cooper Giles finished with a score of 11.35 while Evan Kriley rounded out the rotation with a score of 13.45 to compete in the all-around.
The Black Knights started the afternoon on rings with a team score of 63.35 while the Gophers scored a 64.95 on pommel horse.
Rotation Two
Nebraska moved to pommel horse for the second rotation of the meet. The Huskers notched a team score of 67.10. Cooper Giles lead the team with a score of 13.80 followed by Charlie Giles who had a score of 13.65. Evan Kriley notched a 13.45 while Mitch Tyndall scored 13.20. Sam Phillips earned a career-high score of 13.00. Noah Urwiler rounded out the team score with a 12.45 while Evan Hymanson scored a 11.00 for the all-around competition.
Army was on floor for the second rotation where they had a team score of 68.00.
Minnesota was on rings for the second rotation where they had a team score of 67.70.
Rotation Three
NU had a strong showing on rings for rotation three with a score of 66.35. The Huskers were led by Nikita Bolotsky who notched a career high of 13.95. Evan Hymanson followed with a score of 13.50 while Jonathan Scripnick finished with a score of 13.10. Noah Urwiler and Dylan Young both had a score of 12.90. Dylan LeClair finished with a score of 11.80. Evan Kriley, competing in the all-around, had a score of 13.15.
Army West Point competed on pommel horse for rotation three and finished with a team score of 60.35 while Minnesota competed on floor and finished with a team score of 65.25.
Going into rotation four, the Huskers are in first with a team score of 201.900. The Gophers follow with a team score of 197.900. The Black Knights take the third-place slot with a team score of 191.800.
Rotation Four
Evan Kriley led the team on vault with a career high score of 14.55 while the Huskers notched a season-high team score of 71.30. Charlie Giles followed closely with a score of 14.50 while Zach Peters notched a 14.25. Dylan LeClair also earned a career-high score of 14.05. Jake Bonnay and Jonathan Scripnick both notched a 13.95 while Evan Hymanson finished the rotation with a score of 13.15.
Army West Point competed on high bar and finished the rotation with a score of 61.30 while Minnesota competed on parallel bars and finished with a score of 68.30.
Rotation Five
The Huskers were on parallel bars for the fifth rotation where they had a team score of 69.35. Jake Bonnay led the team with a career-high score of 14.25. Evan Hymanson followed with a score of 14.20. Dillan King notched a 13.95. Nikita Bolotsky, Dylan LeClair and Evan Kriley all earned career-highs on the event. Bolotsky with a score of 13.65 while LeClair and Kriley both had a score of 13.30.
The Black Knights finished the rotation with a team score of 69.70 on vault. The Gophers finished the rotation with a team score of 67.45 on high bar.
Rotation Six
Nebraska finished on high bar with a team score of 66.50. The Huskers were led by Jake Bonnay who scored a 13.50. Evan Hymanson and Dillan King followed closely each with a 13.40 and 13.30 respectively. Evan Kriley notched a 13.20 while Sam Phillips finished with a 13.10. Mitch Tyndall rounded out the meet with a score of 11.65.
Army West Point finished the meet on parallel bars where they scored a 66.25. Minnesota finished the meet on vault where they scored a 71.05.
All-Around
The Huskers had two gymnasts compete in the all-around. Evan Kriley claimed the title with a career-high score of 81.10 while Evan Hymanson finished in second with a score of 78.55.
