Huskers Ready to Bounce Back at Home

 The No. 4 Nebraska men's gymnastics team will return to competition this Saturday, Feb. 15, for a matchup against the No. 8 Minnesota Gophers and the No. 13 Army West Point Black Knights at the Bob Devaney Sports Center in Lincoln, Neb. The meet is slated for a 4 p.m. CT start and will be broadcasted live on BTN+. 

Last Time Out
The Huskers claimed two event titles against the No. 5 Illinois Fighting Illini. Evan Hymanson claimed the parallel bar title (13.85) and tied with Griffin Kehler for the high bar title (13.70). Additionally, Evan Kriley and Charlie Giles posted career-high scores on vault. The Huskers saw their highest vault score of the season finishing with 71.05. Illinois claimed first with a score of 407.050 while Nebraska came in second with a team score of 399.850. 

Scouting the Competition
The No. 13 Army West Point is coming off a second-place finish at the All-Academy Championships falling to Navy where they finished with a season-best team score of 394.100 on Saturday, Feb. 8. The Black Knights also recorded a season-high 71.150 on vault with two gymnasts, Erik Del Cid and Mathew Davis, finishing in the top five. Mathew Davis also competed in the all-around where he notched the title with a score of 80.600. 

The No. 8 Minnesota is coming off of a win against Washington on Friday, Feb. 7. The Gophers posted a 398.000 and claimed all of the event titles of the night. Minnesota also had all but two of the 18 top-three spots of each event. Freshman Donte McKinney was a standout gymnast claiming three event titles (pommel horse, vault, high bar).
