#ProBigRed: Huskers in the NFL - Week 15

Several Huskers made an impact in Week 15 of the 2019 NFL season.

Tight end Cethan Carter (Bengals) hauled in an eight-yard touchdown reception against the Patriots. In the same contest, former Husker tailback Rex Burkhead (Patriots) scored a touchdown of his own on a 33-yard fourth quarter run. 

Defensively, former Blackshirts Will Compton (Raiders) and Lavonte David (Buccaneers) went wire-to-wire for their teams. Compton was in on nine tackles against the Jaguars while David forced fumble in a victory over the Lions.

Buffalo Bills (W, 17-10 at Steelers)
OL Spencer Long: On the field for seven offensive snaps and three special team plays.  

   
   

New England Patriots (W, 34-13 at Bengals)
RB Rex Burkhead: Rushed six times for 53 yards, including a 33-yard touchdown scamper in the fourth quarter. Also caught two passes for six yards and was on the field for over 60 percent of special team snaps.     



   

New York Jets (L, 42-21 at Ravens) - Thursday
WR Quincy Enunwa: Did Not Play (IR)

OL Alex Lewis: Started at left guard and played the entire game. Also participated in three special team plays.  

G Brent Qvale: Did Not Play (IR)

AFC WEST
Denver Broncos (L, 23-3 at Chiefs)
FB Andy Janovich: Did Not Play (IR)
   

   

Oakland Raiders (L, 20-16 vs. Jaguars)
OL Richie Incognito: Started at left guard and was in for every offensive snap while also seeing the field for six plays on special teams. Incognito aided the Raiders in picking up 236 yards passing and 128 yards rushing.

LB Will Compton: Started at middle linebacker and was in for every defensive snap. Compton, who also played in nearly 30 percent of special team snaps, was credited with nine tackles on the afternoon.  

   
AFC NORTH
   

   

Baltimore Ravens (W, 42-21 vs. Jets) - Thursday 
P Sam Koch: Punted four times for 181 yards, averaging 45.3 yards per punt. His longest punt of the day was 49 yards. He also pinned the Jets inside their own 20 on one occasion.  

   

   
Cincinnati Bengals (L, 34-13 vs. Patriots)
TE Cethan Carter: Hauled in two receptions, including an eight-yard touchdown catch in the first quarter. Was also on the field for over 75% of special team snaps. 

WR Stanley Morgan Jr.: Played in six offensive snaps and 19 special team snaps, making two tackles. 

DL Freedom Akinmoladun: Did Not Play (Practice Squad)  
AFC SOUTH


   

Jacksonville Jaguars (W, 20-16 at Raiders)
RB Devine Ozigbo: On the field for nearly 40 percent of special team plays. 

   

   

Tennessee Titans (L, 24-21 vs. Texans) 
CB Joshua Kalu: Saw action in 80 percent of special team snaps.

Dallas Cowboys (W, 44-21 vs. Rams)
DT Maliek Collins: Started at defensive tackle and was on the field for 40 percent of defensive snaps.  

LB Luke Gifford: Saw action on two special team snaps.  

DE Randy Gregory: Did Not Play (Suspended) 

   
   

Philadelphia Eagles (W, 37-27 at Redskins)
LB Nathan Gerry: Started at outside linebacker and played 74 percent of defensive snaps and 83 percent of special team snaps. Gerry was responsible for four tackles during the contest.   

  
   

New York Giants (W, 36-20 vs. Dolphins)
OL Nick Gates: Started on the offensive line and played the entire game, helping the Giants amass 412 yards of total offense.

Arizona Cardinals (W, 38-24 vs. Browns)
DB Chris Jones: Played in 74 percent of defensive plays and over 50 percent of special team plays.

Chicago Bears (L, 21-13 at Packers) 
DB Prince Amukamara: Started at cornerback, recording one tackle on the afternoon.  

   

   

Minnesota Vikings (W, 39-10 at Chargers)
RB Ameer Abdullah: Carried the ball five times for 25 yards, including a long run of 11 yards. Saw action in over 50 percent of special team snaps, returning one kickoff for 25 yards.  

   
NFC SOUTH
Tampa Bay Buccaneers (W, 38-17 at Lions)
LB Lavonte David: Started at inside linebacker and played the entire game. David was responsible for seven tackles, including two tackles for loss, and one forced fumble.
 
DT Ndamukong Suh: Started on the defensive line and played in 73 percent of the defensive snaps. Suh had three tackles and one sack.
