Huskers Announce 2020 Men's Gymnastics Schedule

Lincoln, Neb. -- Head Coach Chuck Chmelka and the Nebraska men's gymnastics team announced its 2020 schedule which includes three home meets at the Bob Devaney Sports Center and several challenging competitions. 

The Huskers will kick off their season on Jan. 11 at the 39th Rocky Mountain Open in Colorado Springs, CO. where they will compete against Minnesota, Oklahoma, Washington and USOTC. 

Nebraska will host Iowa on Jan. 26 to start conference competition. 

On Feb. 1, NU will continue conference competition, traveling to Champaign, Ill., to compete against Illinois.

NU will return home for a triangular against Minnesota and Army on Feb. 15. 

As a team, the Huskers will take a week off, but selected individuals will compete at the prestigious Winter Cup in Las Vegas, Nev. The preliminary round will take place on Feb. 22, while the finals are set for Feb. 23. Both nights, competition is set to begin at 6 p.m. (MT).

NU will have its final home meet on Feb. 29 against conference foe, Penn State which will be broadcasted on BTN at 5 p.m.

Nebraska will travel to Minneapolis, Minn. on March 13 to compete in a triangular against Ohio State and Minnesota.   

On March 21, NU will travel to Ann Arbor, Mich. for a duel against Michigan.

Postseason starts April 3-4 as the Huskers head to Minneapolis, Minn. for the Big 10 Championships. 

Michigan will host the 2020 NCAA Championships in Ann Arbor, Mich. on April 17-18. 

Nebraska returns 12 letterwinners in 2020, including 5 All-Americans (Jake Bonnay, Charlie Giles, Khalil Jackson, Griffin Kehler and Josh Martin). These gymnasts are hoping to lead the way back to the finals of the NCAA Championships for a shot at the national title.
