Austin, Texas—Husker freshmen Isabel Adrover Gallego and Kristina Novak concluded play at the Texas ITA on Thursday. The tournament, hosted by the University of Texas, held championship winnings of $15,000.
On Tuesday, the duo opened play together in the main doubles draw, suffering a 6-3, 6-1 loss to Chavatipon/Chervinsky.
In the opening round of the singles main draw, Kristina Novak fell to Maria Lourdes Carle of Argentina, 6-2, 6-2.
Adrover Gallego competed in her first match Wednesday morning, defeating Madeleine Kobelt in a come-from-behind victory, 1-6, 7-5, 6-3. In Thursday's round of 16, Adrover Gallego fell to Anna Turati of Italy, 6-4, 6-2.
