The Nebraska soccer team returns home this weekend for matches against Maryland and No. 21 Rutgers at Hibner Stadium.
The Huskers and Terrapins square off Friday, starting at 7:05 p.m., as part of Military Appreciation Night. All military personnel who present a valid military ID will receive one free general admission ticket. The giveaway is military-themed T-shirts for the first 250 fans.
NU battles Rutgers on Sunday, beginning at 1:05 p.m. It is Family Funday at Hibner Stadium, featuring face painting, balloon-twisting stations and inflatables for families to enjoy. Sunday is also Celebrate Girls and Women in Sport Day, as the soccer program recognizes the positive impact that sports can have on young girls' lives. Children in sixth grade and under can participate in the pregame tunnel walk and have a chance to be on the field for halftime activities.
