Ross Bowers
Senior, Quarterback
On the first half aerial attack

"I missed a few throws that I wish I could have back, but when I get to the film I’ll remember more plays. Just didn’t hit for whatever reason."

On the game plan
"It felt great. The past three weeks we’ve had a great game plan, Coach E has done a great job of preparing us to win. We just have to commit to making a better effort to learning the game plan better and do what coach says. I want to get to the point where I’m playing exactly how he’s thinking. Right now I’m out of alignment with what he wants. I feel like I’ve put in a lot of work, but it’s not enough. We have to reinvent ourselves, get healthy this next week, then come back ready to go and put up some points, help our defense out."

On the upcoming bye week
"I think it comes at the perfect time, both to prepare for Vandy and also to get our bodies right. Take these couple days to get better in practice and take a few days rest. This was a frustrating loss, but I’m looking at this could be the turning point for our offense. I hope I can help turn that in the right direction."

On the offense
"I’m just going do my job, whatever Coach wants I’m going to do it to the best of my ability. We want to be better than where we’re at."

On having a week off
"To take any positive blessings from today, we’re going to go into this bye week pissed off. Tired of being below average, and tired of losing. It’s good to have that chip on our shoulder."

Jalen McKie
Sophomore, Cornerback
On the game plan

"Coach put us in the best positions to be successful, but we didn’t execute on blocked kicks. I just tried to do what I can to help my teammates put us in the best position to win. You always hope for the chance to get a blocked kick or punt, and I came off the edge and got my arm on it."

Antonio Jones Davis
Senior, Outside Linebacker
On Adrian Martinez’s running threat

"We got pressure on him a few times, but he was able to escape."
