McGuire Finishes Third at Colorado College Invite

Wyatt McGuire from the Nebraska cross country team began his season Saturday morning at the Colorado College Invitational in Colorado Springs, Colorado. McGuire ran unattached and finished third on the 8K course with a time of 26:08.5.

Before Saturday, McGuire's last time competing in cross country was at the 2017 NCAA Midwest Regional, where he finished with USTFCCCA All-Midwest Region accolades. He missed last year due to injury and received a medical hardship. He is currently student teaching in Colorado, while still competing as a part of the Nebraska cross country team.

The Huskers will return to action on Saturday, Sept. 21 for the 30th annual Greeno/Dirksen Invitational. Races will commence at 9 a.m. and the meet will take place at the Mahoney Golf Course in Lincoln for the second year in a row.
