Cross Country Releases Schedule

LINCOLN, Neb. - The Nebraska cross country team will run a challenging schedule that features four regular season meets, including a return to the Mahoney Golf Course for the Greeno/Dirksen Invite, Nebraska Coach David Harris announced on Tuesday.

The Huskers will begin their season on Friday, Sept. 6 at 8 p.m. at the Augustana Twilight Invite in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. The Nebraska men have won the Augustana Twilight team crown in five of the last six seasons. The women last won the team title in 2015 and have finished in the top-three at the meet each of the last six seasons.

Nebraska will close out the month of September hosting the Greeno/Dirksen Invite on Saturday, Sept. 21 at 9 a.m. The Mahoney Golf Course will play host to the Greeno/Dirksen Invite for the second-straight season and was also the site of the 2018 Big Ten Cross Country Championships.

The month of October will include trips to Arkansas and Indiana. The Big Red will begin the month in Fayetteville, Arkansas, for the Arkansas Chile Pepper Festival at 10 a.m. on Saturday. Oct. 5. The team will conclude the regular season at the Under Armour Pre-Nationals in Terre Haute, Indiana, on Saturday, Oct. 19 at 10:30 a.m.

The Big Ten Championships, NCAA Midwest Regional Championships and NCAA Championships will all take place in November. The Big Ten Championships will run in Columbus, Ohio, on Sunday, Nov. 3 at 10:45 a.m., Oklahoma State will host the NCAA Midwest Regional on Friday, Nov. 15 at 11 a.m., and the NCAA Championships will take place in Terre Haute, Indiana, on Saturday, Nov. 23 at 11 a.m.
