Nebraska Athletics Hosts 6th Annual Link-N-Leaders

On Sunday, April 28th, Nebraska Athletics hosted approximately 200 third through sixth graders from Lincoln Public Schools (LPS) and their parents for the sixth annual Link-N-Leaders outreach/leadership event. These LPS students were chosen by their teachers because they are “future leaders” in their classrooms. The kids participated in a variety of activities led by student-athletes from Nebraska’s three leadership groups: Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC), Inner Circle, and N-volved. Each activity showcased Nebraska’s five core values of Integrity, Trust, Respect, Teamwork and Loyalty. Following the activities each student took and signed a leadership pledge. Students received cards representing the 5 values, as well as a certificate signed by Athletic Director Bill Moos and SAAC President, Anton Stephenson. In addition to the student portion, the parents went on a tour of the stadium and were able to ask questions to a panel of current student-athletes.
