Scouting Iowa

• The No. 42 Hawkeyes capped off their best Big Ten Conference season in 20 years with a pair of wins over Michigan State, 5-2, and No. 19 Michigan, 4-1, last weekend in Iowa City.

• Iowa holds a 6-5 record against conference opponents, including wins at then-No. 18 Minnesota on March 22 and then-No. 30 Penn State at home on April 5, both by a 4-3 margin.

• No. 112 Kareem Allaf is Iowa's only ranked singles player in the April 23 Oracle/ITA singles rankings, while No. 87 Will Davies/Oliver Okonkwo represent the Hawkeyes in the doubles rankings.

Series History

• Iowa leads, 6-4

• The Hawkeyes topped the Huskers this year in Lincoln, 5-2, on March 10.

Last Time Out

• Nebraska split a pair of Big Ten matches last weekend at the Dillon Tennis Center. The Huskers fell to No. 19 Michigan, 7-0, on Friday, April 19, but bounced back with a 6-1 win over Michigan State on Sunday, April 21.

• Seniors Toby Boyer, Jon Meyer, and Micah Klousia -- who's a junior eligibility-wise but is graduating from school -- were honored prior to Sunday's match.

• Boyer earned a win at No. 1 that tied him for sixth all-time on Nebraska's singles career wins list, while Klousia notched his eighth season win, which clinched the match for Nebraska and marked his best singles finish in three seasons at Nebraska.

Up Next

• If Nebraska advances, it'll face 3rd-seeded Penn State on Friday, April 26 at 1 p.m. CT (2 p.m. ET)

• The Huskers dropped a close 4-3 match earlier this month to then-No. 30 Nittany Lions on April 7 in Lincoln.

Boyer Continues to Lead Huskers

• Senior Toby Boyer continues to dominate the No. 1 singles spot in Nebraska’s lineup, posting a 15-8 mark so far, including five wins against ranked opponents.

• The Ham Lake, Minn., native earned Co-Big Ten Player of the Week honors on March 28 and was ranked in the top-125 for two consecutive weeks (April 2 and April 9).

• Boyer is tied for the sixth-winningest athlete in Nebraska men's tennis history with his 76th career singles victory over No. 105 Jack Winkler of Michigan State on Sunday, April 21.

• Boyer is tied with Chris Aumueller, who also had 76 wins from 2009-12.

Klousia Takes Over No. 2 Spot

• After 16 matches at No. 4 and only four at No. 3 last year, junior Micah Klousia stepped up to take over Nebraska’s No. 2 singles position – he has completed all of his 21 spring matches at that spot so far.

• Despite several tough opponents, including four ranked in the top-125, Klousia has notched seven eight on the season, including a victory over No. 95 Christian Lakoseljac of Penn State, 6-3, 6-4, on April 7.

Freshmen Make Early Impact

• Victor Moreno Lozano and William Gleason have been strong assets to Nebraska’s lineup, gaining ground at the No. 3 and No. 4 spots.

• Gleason, a Lincoln native and Lincoln Southwest 2018 graduate, holds the team’s second-best spring record with a 11-9 mark -- 9-5 at No. 3 and 3-4 at No. 4.

• Victor Moreno, a freshman from Madrid, Spain, has a 11-11 spring record, with five wins at No. 3 and six at No. 4.
