LAWRENCE, Kan. - Competition at the Kansas Relays began Wednesday at Rock Chalk Park with the heptathlon.
In the event, Madi Scholl represented Nebraska and is currently in fifth place after four events with a total score of 2,784 points.
Scholl started the day with the 100-meter hurdles and ran a time of 15.82w. She was the runner-up in both the heptathlon high jump (5-5, 1.65m) and shot put (34-9, 10.59m). Her high jump mark tied her personal-best and her distance in the shot put set a new PR. Scholl concluded the day running a personal-best time of 27.32 in the 200-meter dash.
Scholl will resume the heptathlon at the Kansas Relays at 11 a.m. on Thursday, while the distance squad will travel to Azusa, California for the Bryan Clay Invitational. Live results for all meets can be followed at Huskers.com
