The Nebraska men's and women's cross country teams were both honored with USTFCCCA All-Academic Awards for the 2018 season on Thursday. Under Head Coach David Harris, the Husker women compiled a 3.46 team GPA, while the Husker men earned a 3.38 team GPA.
Additionally, Erika Freyhof (nutrition and dietetics), Mark Freyhof (agricultural engineering) and George Kusche (actuarial science) were honored as All-Academic individuals. In order to qualify for the individual honor, athletes must have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.25 and finish in the top 25 (or 10 percent) at regionals or as an All-American in the national meet. The Huskers' three honorees is their most since 2003.
