Fresh off a thrilling quarterfinal match, the Nebraska soccer team (9-6-5, 5-3-3 Big Ten) continues the Big Ten Tournament this weekend against Minnesota (10-8-1, 5-5-1 Big Ten) at Grand Park in Westfield, Ind.
The sixth-seeded Huskers and seventh-seeded Golden Gophers square off in the semifinal round on Friday, starting at 12:30 p.m. (CT). The match will be televised on the Big Ten Network, with Dean Linke and Kate Markgraf calling the action.
In addition to watching on television, fans can also stream the game online via BTN2Go by logging in with their cable subscription information. Live updates will be tweeted throughout the game from the @NebraskaSoccer account.
Last Time Out
The Huskers played No. 3 seed Ohio State to a scoreless draw in Sunday’s Big Ten Quarterfinals at Jesse Owens Memorial Stadium, but the Huskers won the penalty-kick shootout by a 3-2 tally to advance to the semifinals.
Next Up
The Big Ten Final, played at Grand Park in Westfield, Ind., is set for Sunday at 11 a.m. (CT) and will be televised on the Big Ten Network.

Nebraska Conference Tournament Notes
• Nebraska is making its fourth appearance in the Big Ten Tournament since joining the conference in 2011. The 2012, 2013 and 2016 teams also qualified for the conference tournament.
• Nebraska is 4-2 in Big Ten Tournament games, winning the title in 2013 to go along with first-round exits in 2012 and 2016.
• Nebraska is making its 18th overall appearance in a conference tournament since 1996, when the Huskers played their first season as a member of the Big 12. NU didn’t have a conference affiliation in its first two years as a program in 1994 and 1995.
• Nebraska is 22-11 all-time in conference tournament games, winning six titles.
• The Huskers won the Big 12 Tournament crown in 1996, 1998, 1999, 2000 and 2002, while taking home the Big Ten title in 2013.

Big Ten Tournament at a Glance
- The Big Ten Semifinals are set for Friday at Grand Park in Westfield, Ind., after all four quarterfinal matches were decided in the 88th minute or later last weekend at campus sites.
- Nebraska’s semifinal match against No. 7 seed Minnesota will be the second game on Friday after top-seeded Penn State battles No. 5 seed Illinois at 10 a.m.

Carter, Uveges Leading Husker Offense
- Seniors Faith Carter and Savanah Uveges are among the leaders on the team and in the Big Ten in offensive production this season. They have each scored 20 points (two points for a goal, one point for an assist) this season, which ranks tied for fifth in the conference.
- Carter leads the Huskers with nine goals, which ranks third in the Big Ten behind Minnesota’s April Bockin (11) and Rutgers’ Amirah Ali (10).
- In the last 14 games, Carter has scored eight goals.
- Uveges has eight goals, which ranks second on the team and tied for fourth in the conference.
- Uveges has scored at least one point in 11 of Nebraska’s 20 games this season.
Scouting the Minnesota Golden Gophers
- No. 7 seed Minnesota is 10-8-1 this season and finished conference play with a 5-5-1 record. The Golden Gophers are ranked 55th in the RPI.
- Minnesota is one of two Big Ten teams the Huskers didn’t face during the regular season, along with Northwestern.
- Nebraska leads the all-time series against Minnesota, 7-6, dating back to the first meeting in 1996. The two teams have met in the Big Ten Tournament on one previous occasion. The Huskers defeated the Gophers, 4-1, in the quarterfinals on Nov. 6, 2013 in Champaign, Ill., en route to winning the tournament crown.
