The Nebraska swimming and diving team will travel to Ames, Iowa for their first road dual of the season on Friday, Oct. 26 at the Beyer Pool to face the Iowa State Cyclones. The dual is set for 5 p.m.
The Huskers enter the dual with a 2-0 record after defeating Northern Iowa (166-77) and South Dakota State (156-63) in two consecutive weekends.
Nebraska holds a 36-4-1 all-time series lead over Iowa State. The last dual-meet between the two programs came last season, when Nebraska defeated Iowa State 193-102.
Senior captain Kaylyn Flatt dominated the dual last year, setting a career best in her first-place finish in the 1,000 yard freestyle (10:09.89). She also finished first in the 500 free 5:00.61.
Izzie Murray (55.83) and Dana Posthuma (56.21) locked in the top two spots in the 100-yard butterfly in last season's dual, respectively.
The Huskers will return to the Devaney Center to host the Kansas Jayhawks on Saturday, Nov. 3 at 2 p.m.
Last Time Out- Huskers Show Depth Against Panthers
The Nebraska swim and dive team continued its season-opening home stand at the Devaney Natatorium on Friday against the Northern Iowa Panthers. The Huskers defeated the Panthers 166-77, to improve to 2-0 on the season.
The Huskers strong claiming a victory in the 200-yard medley relay with Autumn Haebig, Tori Beeler, Dana Posthuma and Lindsay Helferich in the lane (1:45.01).
In the 1000-yard freestyle, Audrey Coffey took first (10:29.14), followed by Katelyn Kilpatrick for second (10:37.82).
The Huskers claimed the top-two spots in the 200-yard freestyle with Flatt (1:52.97) and Haebig (1:53.32) on the board for the Big Red, respectively.
In the 50-yard freestyle, Helferich (24.08) and Clara Walstad (24.30) took second and third, respectively.
In the 200-yard IM, Anna McDonald (2:07.56) captured a second-place finish and Morgan McCafferty (2:10.86) took third in the lanes.
The Huskers swept the 200-yard butterfly, senior Dana Posthuma rallied in a victory (2:04.26), followed by Maggie Berning (2:04.52) and Taylor Acheson (2:11.80), respectively.
In the 100-yard freestyle, Helferich took second (53.13), followed by Beeler (53.77).
In the 200-yard backstroke, McDonald earned a second-place finish (2:06.04) with Lindsey Stalheim close behind (2:07.25).
The Huskers swept the 500-yard freestyle, Flatt secured a first-place finish for the Big Red (5:05.66), Kilpatrick (5:09.15) and Coffey (5:10.43), respectively.
Worlton followed suit with her first-place time in the 200-yard breaststroke (2:18.30).
In the final swim event, the Big Red ended strong with Haebig, Beeler, Walstad and Posthuma in the lane for a first-place finish in the 200-yard freestyle relay (1:37.38).
On the diving front, Abigail Knapton (329.02), Sara Troyer (326.32) and Jessica Warak (303.52) secured the top three in the three meter dive and repeated in the one meter with Troyer (297.90), Warak (295.80) and Knapton (282.30), respectively. All six of the performances of Nebraska's top three divers easily surpassed NCAA automatic qualifying standards.
