The Nebraska soccer team (7-3-2, 3-0-1 Big Ten) closes out the month of September with a road trip this week to No. 24 Penn State (6-4-0, 2-1-0 Big Ten) and Ohio State (5-4-0, 2-1-0 Big Ten).

The Huskers, who enter the week on a five-match unbeaten streak, battle the Nittany Lions on Thursday at 5 p.m. (CT) at Jeffrey Field in University Park, Pa. The game will be televised on the Big Ten Network and can also be streamed on BTN2Go. Dean Linke and Jackie Manny will call the action for BTN.

NU squares off with the Buckeyes on Sunday at 1:30 p.m. (CT) at Jesse Owens Memorial Stadium in Columbus, Ohio. The game will be streamed live on BTN Plus, with a subscription required to watch.

Last Time Out
The Huskers extended its unbeaten streak to five consecutive games with a pair of Big Ten wins at Hibner Stadium over the weekend. Nebraska, led by Faith Carter’s hat trick, came from behind to top Indiana on Thursday night by a 4-3 margin in overtime. On Sunday, NU edged Purdue, 1-0.

Next Up
The Huskers host Iowa at Hibner Stadium on Friday, Oct. 5, starting at 7:05 p.m. (CT). The game is “American Outlaws Night” and will be streamed live on BTN Plus.

  • Uveges leads the Huskers with 16 points, which ranks tied for third in the Big Ten. She has six goals, which ranks second on the team and tied for fifth in the conference.

Scouting the Penn State Nittany Lions

  • No. 24 Penn State is 6-4-0 this season with a 2-1-0 record in Big Ten play. The Nittany Lions opened their season with a win over No. 9 West Virginia, but have alternated wins and losses since that point.
  • Penn State leads the all-time series against Nebraska, 4-1-2, dating back to the first meeting in 2011. Last season, the teams tied, 1-1, in Lincoln, Neb.

Scouting the Ohio State Buckeyes

  • Ohio State is 5-4-0 this season with a 2-1-0 record in Big Ten play. The Buckeyes opened their season against three consecutive top-10 opponents and went 1-2. In their most recent outing, the Buckeyes topped No. 21 Northwestern, 1-0, in overtime.
  • The all-time series between Ohio State and Nebraska is tied at 4-4, dating back to the first meeting in 2011. NU is 2-1 in Columbus against the Buckeyes.
  • Ohio State hosts Iowa on Thursday night before playing Nebraska on Sunday.

Huskers Move Up to 18th in RPI
