Eugene, Ore. - A pair of Huskers earned USTFCCCA Honorable Mention on Day 2 of the NCAA Championships, as Brittni Wolczyk (javelin) and Raynesha Lewis (long jump) both earned the honor on Thursday at Hayward Field.
Wolczyk, a junior from Port Coquitlam, British Columbia, fell just short of matching the second-team All-America honors she took home each of the last two seasons, as she placed 17th with a throw of 158-9 (48.38m) to earn USTFCCCA Honorable Mention. Competing in her third NCAA Championships, Wolczyk posted her final mark on her third attempt.
In her first NCAA Championships appearance, Lewis took home USTFCCCA Honorable Mention in the long jump, as she placed 19th with her best wind-legal jump of the season, a mark of 19-11 (6.07m).
