The Nebraska baseball team returns to action at Hawks Field when the Huskers host Big Ten foe Maryland for Military Appreciation Weekend starting on Friday. Fans with a valid military ID will receive one free general admission ticket for all three games of the series.

The three-game set begins on Friday at 6:35 p.m. (CT). The first 1,500 fans will receive a Nebraska Adidas shirt. The series continues on Saturday at 2:05 p.m. The first 750 fans will receive camo sunglasses. Sunday’s series finale starts at 1:05 p.m., and will be Family Fun Day, consisting of face painting, balloon twisting, baserunning and more.

How to Listen/Watch the Huskers
Fans can listen to Greg Sharpe, Nick Handley and Ben McLaughlin call the action throughout the season on the Husker Sports Network. Every game this season can be heard on Huskers.com and the Official Nebraska Huskers App for both iOS and android devices.

All three games will be carried on TuneIn.com and the TuneIn App on the Husker IMG Sports Network channel. Fans in Lincoln can listen on 1400 AM and fans in Omaha can listen on 590 AM.

Friday’s game will be televised on NET. Streaming is also available on BTN2Go.

The final two games of the series will be streamed live online on BTN Plus. Subscriptions for BTN Plus are available on a monthly or annual basis. A school pass subscription is $79.95 for one year and $9.95 for one month. A conference pass subscription is $119.95 for one year and $14.95 for one month.

Last Time Out
The Huskers swept Nevada at Hawks Field last weekend. After winning Thursday’s opener by a 9-5 margin, the Huskers took Friday’s game, 9-6, before wrapping up the series with a 12-5 triumph.

Next Up
The Huskers battle intrastate rival Creighton on Tuesday night at TD Ameritrade Park, with first pitch set for 6:30 p.m. (CT). The game will be televised on CBS Sports Network.

Scouting the Maryland Terrapins

  • Maryland leads the all-time series against Nebraska, 5-2, since the first meeting between the schools in 2015. Nebraska is 2-2 against the Terrapins in Lincoln.
  • Maryland is 19-25 this season with a 5-9 record in Big Ten competition. The Terps lost to West Virginia on Tuesday night after winning two of three at Michigan State last weekend.
  • Head Coach Rob Vaughn is 19-25 in his first season at the helm of Maryland baseball. He is assisted by Corey Muscara, Matt Swope and Anthony Papio.
