MESA, Ariz. -- The Nebraska women's golf team finished in sixth place with a 54-hole score of 896, paced by sophomore Kate Smith who tied for ninth with a 54-hole score of 219 through three rounds at the Clover Cup hosted by Notre Dame at Longbow Golf Club in Mesa, Ariz.
Smith posted her lowest round of the Clover Cup on Sunday, finishing 74-73-72-219 to tie for ninth at the tournament. The ninth-place finish is Smith's fifth top-10 finish in a tournament this season. Senior Audrey Judd climbed on the day and tied with teammate Annie Sritragul for 18th at the Cup. Judd posted the lowest round by a Husker finishing the Cup with a third-round score of 71 on Sunday (78-74-71-223). Sritragul stayed consistent, finishing 76-73-74-223 for the Huskers.
Freshman Noor Ahmed tied for 48th, slipping in the third round after steady days Friday and Saturday (75-75-81-231). Haley Thiele rounded out the Nebraska lineup, finishing in 81st with a 86-80-83 to reach a 54-hole score of 249.
Competing as individuals outside Nebraska's lineup, Jessica Haraden tied for 57th (76-80-79-235), while Hannah Thiele finished 72nd (83-75-86-244), respectively.
Oklahoma won the Clover Cup with a three-round team score of of 871, while Arizona State finished in second with a three-round team score of 873.
Oklahoma's Julienne Soo won the individual title, going 72-71-68 over the three-day tournament to post a 54-hole score of 211.
Up next, the Huskers will make their third and final trip of the spring to Arizona, where they will compete at the Mountain View Invitational in Tucson, Ariz., at Mountain View Golf Course.
