General Information

WHO: Open to participants K through 6th grade

COST: $50 per participant. Limited to the first 75 registrants. (Cash or Check payable to University of NebraskaNo credit cards)

CLINIC: Clinic held on Saturday, February 8 from 9:00 AM - Noon. (Check-in begins at 8:00 AM)

PERFORMANCE: Sunday, February 9 during Nebraska's women's basketball game vs. Indiana. Tip-off is at 2:00 PM

Where is the clinic being held?
Location and parking details for the clinic will be communicated in an email sent confirming your registration.

When are registrations due?
Registrations are due Friday, January 31

What time is the clinic on Saturday?
Check-in will begin at 8:00am. We will start instruction at 9:00am and conclude at noon. Please bring any missing items or required signatures to check-in. Registration must be complete before your child can participate.

What should participants wear for the clinic?
Participants should wear clothing that is comfortable and easy to move in as well as tennis shoes with non-marking soles. No denim/jeans, please.

What will we receive at check-in?
• Your child’s T-shirt for the performance
• 2 poms
• Words to the cheer
• A copy of the Youth Activity Safety Policy
• Two Wristbands for Sunday (one for the participant and one for their adult chaperone)
• 1 youth ticket and 1 adult ticket for Sunday’s basketball game.

Can I stay and watch?
Yes, of course! We will not provide chairs so you may bring your own or sit on the floor. Many parents stay to watch the clinic and video the routine at the end. We encourage you to help your child practice for the performance!

Will lunch or a snack be provided by the Husker Spirit Squad Youth Clinic?
No, we will not provide any food items to participants during the workshop. You are welcome to bring a light snack for your child, however, please be mindful of potential allergies. Please avoid bringing peanuts, nuts or any items with nut ingredients to the workshop space.

Are clinic fees refundable?
Clinic fees are non-refundable.
 
Can boys participate?
Absolutely! All kids K-6th grade are welcome! Our male cheerleaders would love to have some guys join us!

Where are our game tickets located?
They are located in the General Admission sections 101 and 112. Seating in those areas are first come first serve.

How do we purchase additional tickets for the game?
Tickets can be purchased through the ticket office by calling 402-472-3111 or online at huskers.com/tickets. Reserved seats are $15; General Admission $10; Youth and Seniors $5. Children 6 and under are free.

Where do we park for the game?
There are numerous parking options in the Haymarket/Railyard area including parking garages and metered parking on a limited basis. The Husker Spirit Squad is not providing parking for this event.

What do the participants wear for the performance?
The Clinic T-Shirt included in your packet is for the participant to wear during the halftime performance. If you choose, you may decorate your shirt with bows or sparkles or cut it into a funky design all your own! Decorations must be completely secure and pose NO risk to the student-athletes by falling on the floor. Glitter is not allowed. You may wear the bottoms of your choice (could be leggings or a fun skirt) and tennis shoes with non-marking soles. No denim, please. BRING YOUR POMS TO THE GAME!

What time do we have to arrive at Pinnacle Bank Arena on Sunday?
Tipoff is scheduled for 2:00pm. Most fans are in their seats at 15 minutes to tip off.

When and where do we meet to get ready for halftime?
Please bring your child down to the SOUTHEAST corner of the arena at the END OF THE FIRST QUARTER. They will meet their Team Captain there. The Team Captains will get the participants into position for the performance. Please be ON TIME!

Can we videotape in the arena?
Yes! The performance will face the west side (sections 116-118). If you wish to record from this side, you may do so however you may not obstruct walkways or stand in the stairwell.

Where do I meet my child after halftime?
Please meet your child and their team captain in the SOUTHEAST tunnel of the arena. The team captain will only release the child to the person wearing the corresponding wristband. This is for safety purposes and we appreciate your cooperation.
