Rex Burkhead scored a touchdown for the fourth consecutive week, as he helped New England to a 27-24 win at Pittsburgh in a battle of two AFC heavyweights to highlight performances by former Huskers in the NFL in Week 15.
Burkhead had just four carries for 12 yards on Sunday, but his one yard touchdown run in the first quarter helped the Patriots clinch the AFC East and gain the tiebreaker over the Steelers for home-field advantage in the AFC playoffs. Burkhead also had a five-yard reception on Sunday.
Richie Incognito (Bills) and Jeremiah Sirles (Vikings) helped pave the way for wins for their respective teams on the offensive line.
On the defensive side of the ball, Ndamukong Suh recorded seven tackles, including three for a loss, for Miami on Sunday, while Prince Amukamara made six tackles for the Bears. Nathan Gerry made a tackle on special teams for the Eagles.
Sam Koch had another strong day punting the ball, as he pinned Cleveland inside the 20-yard line four times and averaged over 40 yards per punt with a long of 58 yards in a 27-10 Baltimore win.
