Molinari Inducted to IBCA Hall of Fame

Lincoln - University of Nebraska Assistant Coach Jim Molinari was honored over the weekend, as he was announced as one of the 2018 inductees into the Illinois Basketball Coaches Association Hall of Fame.  Molinari and the rest of the class will be honored on May 5 at Redbird Arena in Normal, Ill.

Molinari, who is in his fourth season as an assistant coach at Nebraska, was a head coach at the collegiate level for 20 years, compiling a 302-290 record at four programs (Bradley, Northern Illinois, Western Illinois and Minnesota).  He was a three-time conference coach of the year, and guided three programs to 20-win seasons. Molinari guided three different programs to conference titles, including an 11-year run at Bradley, where he led the school to six postseason appearances, including the 1996 NCAA Tournament.

In addition to his head coaching experience, Molinari was an assistant coach at DePaul for 10 years, helping the Blue Demons to nine NCAA Tournaments appearances, including the 1979 Final Four, and at Minnesota and Ball State.
