Several former Huskers saw action in Week 12 of the 2017 NFL season.
In the Monday night game, Baltimore Ravens' punter Sam Koch had six punts for 308 yards, including a long of 62 yards. He also completed a 22-yard pass on a successful fake punt attempt in the second quarter. Two plays later, the Ravens scored a touchdown en route to a 23-16 victory over the Houston Texans.
On offense, Rex Burkhead (New England Patriots) had a rushing touchdown and a receiving touchdown, helping the Patriots to a 35-17 win over Miami. Niles Paul (Washington Redskins) started at tight end and had three receptions for 16 yards. Detroit running back Ameer Abdullah started and had six rushes for 14 yards and three catches for 29 yards. Fullback Andy Janovich (Denver Broncos) started and had one rush for four yards. On the line, Richie Incognito started at left guard and played every offensive snap for the Buffalo Bills.
Defensively, Lavonte David started at linebacker for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He recorded six tackles and one quarterback hit. Prince Amukamara started a cornerback and had six tackles, two pass deflections and forced one fumble for the Chicago Bears. Maliek Collins started a defensive tackle for the Dallas Cowboys and had two tackles and one quarterback hit. Fellow defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh (Miami Dolphins) started and had one tackle, one quarterback hit and one pass deflection. Zaire Anderson played at linebacker for the Broncos and finished with one tackle.
Nathan Gerry (Philadelphia Eagles), Zach Sterup (Miami Dolphins), Cethan Carter (Cincinnati Bengals) and Jeremiah Sirles (Minnesota Vikings) all played on special teams for their respective squads.
