Marist gave No. 23 West Virginia all they wanted before falling 84-78 in its tournament opener on Thursday. The Red Foxes (0-4) came back from a 16-point second-half deficit to knot the score at 67 with 5:36 left before West Virginia scratched out a win. Junior guard Brian Parker leads Marist at 18.3 poits per game, while Knudsen is averaging 14.3 ppg and hitting 50 percent from 3-point range.
