Minneapolis -- The Huskers wrapped up a their weekend at the ITA Central Regionals with sophomore Dylan Bednarczyk, freshman William Grattan-Smith, senior Linus Erhart and freshman Isaac Nortey all reaching the round of 64, sophomore Micah Klousia reached the round of 32 and junior Toby Boyer reached the finals of the ITA Central Regionals. Boyer is the second Husker to reach the event finals since Karl Falkland won the tournament in 1993.
Boyer compete on Monday against Minnesota’s Stefan Milicevic, and after a hard fought match, ultimately fell short in the finals match. Boyer led the Huskers with six wins in singles play while he and Erhart reached the round of 16 in doubles.
The Huskers have finished fall play and will begin their spring season on Jan. 13 with a home-opening match against South Dakota State.
