NORMAN, Okla. — The Nebraska track and field team completed the John Jacobs Invitational at the John Jacobs Track and Field Complex on Saturday.
The Nebraska men won the team title with 248 points. The women's team tied for first with the host Oklahoma with 191.5 points.
Kaiwan Culmer placed first in the triple jump with a mark of 52-9 1/4 (16.08m) and set a personal record moving to No. 7 on NU's all-time top 10 list.
Toni Tupper placed first in the shot put with a mark of 53-11 3/4 (16.45m) and set a personal record, moving to No. 5 on NU's all-time top 10 chart. Andy Jacobs won the pole vault with a mark of 13-7 1/4 (4.15m) a new outdoor PR, and she moved to No. 6 all-time.
Nick Percy placed first and set a season best in the discus with a mark of 204-8 (62.38m), followed by Nick Coghill in third place with a personal-best mark of 177-4 (54.07m).
In the first event of the day, Brittni Wolcyzk took first in the javelin with a mark of 155-4 (47.34m). Chase Wolinski placed second with a mark of 145-9 (44.44m). Sydney Otto placed third at 140-0 (42.67m).
Reka Czuth placed third in the long jump with a mark of 20-1 ½ (6.13m). Czuth placed first in the high jump with a mark of 5-7 (1.70m). Petra Luteran placed second with a mark of 5-7 (1.70m).
Tierra Williams placed first in the triple jump with a mark of 42-9 1/2 (13.04m) followed by Briana Eskridge in third place with a mark of 39-2 1/4 (12.07m). Isaiah Griffith placed second in the triple jump with a mark of 50-11 (15.52m) and set a personal record followed by Jace Anderson in third place with a mark of 49-11 1/4 (15.22m), also a personal record.
Seth Derr took second in the javelin with a mark of 204-7 (61.45m). Nick Coghill placed second in the shot put with a mark of 57-0 (17.37m).
Tyler Loontjer placed second in the pole vault with an outdoor-best mark of 17-1 1/2, followed by Spencer Powell placing third with a mark of 16-3 1/2, a personal best.
On the track, the men’s 4x100-meter relay placed second with a time of 40.53. The women's 4x400-meter relay placed first with a time of 3:43.51. The men's 4x400 placed first with a time of 3:08.26 and set a season best.
Jasmine Barge placed second in the 100m hurdles with a time of 13.87. Antoine Lloyd placed second in the 110m hurdles with a time of 14.15.
Kierra Griggs placed second in the 400m with a time of 54.90 while Chelsey Jones placed third and set a personal record of 55.63. Sam Bransby placed second in the 400m with a time of 47.52.
Moutjaba Mohammed took first in the 800m with a time of 1:51.91. Jacob Olson placed third with a time of 1:52.82 and set a personal record.
Pat Letz placed third in the 3000-meter steeplechase with a time of 9:27.85 and set a personal record. Judi Jones ran the women's 3,000-meter steeplechase in 11:12.32, a new PR and the ninth-fastest time in NU history.
The Huskers will compete at the Red Raider Shoot Out in Lubbock, Texas next Friday.
