During the break between Nebraska’s first and second quarter against Illinois Saturday, the Huskers’ three Heisman Trophy winners will be featured in a HuskerVision video.
Nebraska's 351st consecutive home football sellout will include a video montage of Husker Heisman history before Johnny Rodgers (1972), Mike Rozier (1983) and Eric Crouch (2001) are introduced in the northwest corner of Tom Osborne Field.
All three Heisman legends will sign autographs from 11 a.m. to noon in the Pavilion area adjacent to Memorial Stadium. They also will appear on the BTN Tailgate’s live show.
Saturday’s Big Ten Conference game features seven more moments of recognition:
1) Formal recognition of Pediatric Brain Cancer Awareness Day will include a check presentation 30 minutes prior to kickoff and a public address announcement with a second-quarter live shot of pediatric patients in Sections 19 and 20.
2) An announcement 20 minutes before kickoff will recognize the image of the Sam Foltz and Mike Saddler coins that will be used during the coin toss of all Big Ten football games Saturday.
3) A moment of silence will honor legendary Nebraska offensive line coach Milt Tenopir, who died this week. The moment will precede the National Anthem. A video tribute to Tenopir also will be shown on the big screens during the first quarter.
4) The presentation of the George Sullivan Scholarship will be made at the 20-minute mark on the pregame clock in the northwest corner of the field. Nebraska also will honor homecoming royalty at halftime.
5) Taylor Hogan, representing Kappa Kappa Gamma Sorority, was named the 2016 Homecoming Jester winner Friday night and will be honored in the Southeast corner of the field one hour before kickoff.
6) The Husker men's track and field team, coached by Gary Pepin, will be recognized in the Northwest corner of the field during the second quarter. Nebraska's men won Big Ten Conference Championships both indoors and outdoors this past season. Husker Nick Percy will be honored individually after winning the NCAA outdoor discus title as a sophomore.
7) The Cornhusker Marching Band will have a special Homecoming performance at halftime and during pregame ceremonies.
