What are your pre-meet rituals? I’m not big on rituals or ‘superstitions’...I try to just wake up confident, come ready to compete, and leave everything in the water.

What superpower would you choose? Flying!

If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you go? Rio, Brazil

What is your dream job? Is there a profession where you read, write, and bake all day? If so, then that job.

What is your fondest swimming memory? When I was 12, I was swimming at our age group state meet, and dropped 6 seconds in the 100 fly. My coach and I had been working on that event all season, and it was the first time I was able to see the results. That feeling was electric. I’d never seen my coach smiling so big, and even though it was a small feat, it’s a feeling I still strive for today.

What does success mean to you? Success is being proud of the work you put into something. If you can look back on your time and efforts spent towards reaching a goal and honestly say that you gave everything, then to me, that is success.
