David Jensen Wins Doane University Open Title

Crete, Neb.David Jensen captured the heavyweight title at the Doane University Open at Fuhrer Fieldhouse on Saturday, Dec. 10.

Jensen managed bonus points in all five of his matches, earning three pins, one technical fall and one major decision. He was one of three Huskers to make the finals, as Jay Sornson (165) and Taylor Venz (184) each collected runner-up finishes.

Brian Peska (133) and Regan Bye (165) each took third place. Luke Weber finished fifth at 157 pounds, while Caleb Licking and Jordan Shearer tied for fifth at 149 pounds. Kyle Ruettiger (149) and Cade Svoboda (184) also competed at the Doane University Open.
