Senior Tight End Trey Foster
On the transition from shrine bowl to now

“To talk about it, it’s crazy. And we all wanted to do something like we’ve done so far when we were just coming out of high school, getting ready for college. To tell us that we have actually made it as far as we have and so many of us have made it on the team and have excelled is amazing. Just great to see so many guys actualize what they were able to do and were persistent.”

On building himself from a lower level
“I guess we just used the pack mentality that you know we really helped each other out. Everybody’s college experience is different. Sometimes you’re having some rough times whether that be trying to find your notch on the field, or having problems away from football, it was good that we all had each other to fall back on.”

On representing Sam Foltz on Senior Day
“It’s going to be a tough moment for us. We’ve been saying it all year long. He made the most out of what he had. He was a great dude that showed us how to work hard. Showed us how to do things the right way, so it’s going to be tough for us to go through that.”

On offensive lineman Jerald Foster’s return to the field
"Right after he had gotten hurt, he told me ‘Trey I’m going to beat this, I’m going to be back, and I’m going to be back.’ I’m like all right man. You have to be in that training room everyday working your tail off. You can ask those guys in the trainers, he was in there every single day. He had some good days, and he had some bad days, but he pushed himself and the trainers did a great job making sure he was ready and really made the most out of the situation.”

On Jerald Foster before the game
“Right before the game this week, everybody is just calm, talking, and then you can tell he’s [Jerald Foster] amped up. He’s in the corner just by himself and kind of losing it by himself. And calls us all up as an offense and even the defense guys are like ‘I want to hear this, I want to hear what he’s got to say. I don’t even play offense, I want to see what he’s got to say.’ He just gets us all rowdy and ready to go. It was a great time, it was awesome.”

On being undefeated at home
“Just showing that it’s a hard place to play. I think we’ve done a good job coming out every single week, especially when we are at home getting the job done and making plays when we need to. I feel like it’s just a testament to how much we put in this season.”
