Huskers Ranked No. 9

The Nebraska rifle team is ranked ninth in this week's Collegiate Rifle Coaches Association Top 20 Poll.

The Huskers spent most of the preseason tied with Air Force at the No. 7 spot, but dropped to ninth this week after many teams across the country competed last weekend.

West Virginia holds the top spot, while TCU is No. 2. Air Force and Murray State rank third and fourth respectively. Kentucky is ranked fifth. 

NU opens its season on Oct. 15 when the team travels to Oxford, Miss., to battle Ole Miss. Competition is set for 8 a.m.
