Lincoln - The location for Sunday's Red-White softball scrimmage has changed due to inclement weather in the Lincoln area. The scrimmage, originally set to be played at the Doris Bair Complex, will now be played at Bowlin Stadium and will start at 3 p.m.
Attendance into the scrimmage is free. Due to the late venue change, concessions will not be available inside Bowlin Stadium, but fans will be permitted to bring their own food and non-alcoholic beverages into the stadium (for Sunday's scrimmage only).
The scrimmage kicks off Nebraska's fall exhibition schedule. The Huskers will play seven games at Bowlin Stadium this fall, and fans can attend every game for free. Nebraska's first fall exhibition game is set for Tuesday at 5 p.m. against Bellevue. The Huskers then host South Dakota for a doubleheader on Sunday, Oct. 2 beginning at 1 p.m. The fall schedule concludes with the Big Red Fall Classic Oct. 7-9 at Bowlin Stadium.
The fall season gives Nebraska fans a first glance at the 2017 Huskers, and there will be many new faces among a 21-player roster that includes seven freshmen.
