Napa, Calif. - Cassie Deeg shot a final-round 76 to lead the Nebraska women's golf team on the closing day at the Silverado Showdown.
Deeg, a senior from Hugo, Minn., finished in a tie for 60th with a three-round total of 231. Sophomore Audrey Judd carded Nebraska's second-best round of the day with an eight-over-par 80 on the 6,206-yard layout of the Silverado North Course. Judd finished 90th in a 93-player field at 250.
Senior Cassidy Stelzmiller managed an 83 to tie for 78th at 236, while Haley Thiele (T85th, 241) and Morgan Smejkal (88th, 245) each settled for rounds of 84.
Nebraska finished in 18th place in the strong 18-team field at Silverado. The Huskers struggled to a 323 in the final round to close the tournament at 949.
Stanford won the team title with a three-round score of 865, despite posting its worst round of the tournament with a 294. The co-hosts from Oregon finished a distant second at 878 after a final-round 293. Pepperdine finished fourth at 880, while the co-hosts from Colorado took fourth at 883.
Oregon's Cathleen Santoso fired a final-round 71 to claim medalist honors with a three-round total of 211. Stanford's Lauren Kim finished second at 212, while Colorado's Esther Lee took third at 213, including Tuesday's best individual round with a 68.
Nebraska returns to action at the Big Ten Championships in Indianapolis, April 22-24.
