Six Huskers Earn Academic All-Big Ten Honors

Six members of the Nebraska women's basketball team earned academic All-Big Ten honors when the conference announced its winter academic teams on March 23.

Senior point guard Rachel Theriot claimed academic All-Big Ten honors for the third time in her career, while junior center Allie Havers captured academic All-Big Ten accolades for the second straight season.

Sophomores Natalie Romeo, Jasmine Cincore and Emily Wood all earned the first academic all-conference honors of their careers, while senior forward Anya Kalenta claimed her first award as well. All four of those Huskers earned awards in their first season of eligibility for the honor.

Academic All-Big Ten selections must letter in at least their second academic year at their institution and carry a cumulative grade-point average of 3.0 or higher.

A total of 69 women's basketball student-athletes across 14 Big Ten schools were honored as academic All-Big Ten selections. Nebraska's six honorees were tied for the second-most among any conference school, trailing only Northwestern's eight. Iowa, Maryland and Michigan also had six representatives on the academic All-Big Ten team.
