Huskers Welcome Three Foes This Weekend

Lincoln - Nebraska welcomes three teams to the Sid and Hazel Dillon Tennis Center for a busy weekend of women's tennis.

The action starts Friday, as the Huskers face in-state rival Creighton (0-1) at 3 p.m. The Huskers complete Friday's doubleheader by clashing with the UMKC Kangaroos (2-1) for the first time in history in a dual match on Friday at 7 p.m.

The Huskers will enjoy Saturday off from competition before closing the weekend with a Sunday dual against No. 71 Wyoming (3-2). Doubles action with the Cowgirls begins at 11:30 a.m., with singles play to follow.

Admission to all three matches is free.

Nebraska, which improved to 3-0 with a 6-1 win over Air Force last weekend, hopes to remain unbeaten in its new home at the Dillon Tennis Center.

Seniors Maggy Lehmicke and Mackenna Maddox-Herr, junior Lisa Andersson, sophomore Katerina Matysova  and freshmen Vasanti Shinde and Sydney Harlow hope to continue to improve while building on their impressive early season singles wins.

Live scoring and match recaps will be available on Huskers.com.
