Huskers Welcome Volunteer Coach Nikola Andjelic

Lincoln, Neb. - The Nebraska men's tennis team has announced the addition of Nikola Andjelic to the 2016 coaching staff as a volunteer coach. Andjelic's experience and knowledge will be assets to the Husker players and with future recruits to the program. 

Andjelic brings much experience to the Husker program. Andjelic boasts extensive experience on several levels, including working with collegiate and professional tennis players. He was an assistant coach at West Virginia and worked at the Academia Sanchez-Casal in Naples, Fla. Andjelic was also the director of human performance at the Junior Tennis Champions Center in Washington D.C. Andjelic has experience with major competitions including multiple Grand Slams, Premier Events, WTA tour events and many others. His experience will be a major benefit to the men's tennis program at the Univeristy of Nebraska, according to head coach Kerry McDermott.

"We are very anxious and excited to have Nikola Andjelic working with us in our program as a volunteer coach, and his experience with professional tennis players from around the world will be very valuable to our program and kids that we have playing on the team," McDermott said. "He brings vast knowledge of experience working with players, and he will no doubt be able to help us raise the level within the team and toward improving within the Big Ten Conference and nationally."
