Monthly Radio Show Features A.D., Coaches, Gymnasts

Wednesday’s Husker Athletics Radio Show features Nebraska Director of Athletics Shawn Eichorst and four guests for the last 2015 broadcast – men’s and women’s gymnastics head coaches Chuck Chmelka and Dan Kendig and student-athlete leaders Ethan Lottman (above) and Hollie Blanske (below).

Studio host Greg Sharpe will interview Eichorst in Wednesday’s first segment, beginning at 7:04 p.m. Chmelka, in his seventh season as head coach, has guided Nebraska to four Top-10 NCAA finishes. Sharpe will interview Chmelka in the one-hour show’s second segment, followed by a third-segment conversation with Kendig, who has guided the Huskers to 11 NCAA Super Six Finals and twice been named NCAA National Coach of the Year (in 1999 and 2003).

All-Americans Hollie Blanske and Ethan Lottman Share Their Thoughts

Segment four in the one-hour Husker Sports Network program features Blanske and Lottman. A three-time All-American from Oak Grove, Minn., Blanske represents the Husker women’s team, picked to finish second in the 2016 Big Ten Conference, according to a recent coaches’ poll. In the last 19 years, Kendig’s program has won at least one individual conference title.

A senior from Omaha, Lottmanfinished fifth on pommel horse at the 2015 Men's NCAA Championships to earn first-team All-America honors and second-team CoSIDA Academic All-America accolades. The Husker Athletics Radio Show originates in Lincoln’s downtown Haymarket area and is carried live on the Husker Sports Network.
