Huskers Defeat Wolfpack

Charleston, S.C. — The seventh-ranked Nebraska rifle team defeated No. 10 NC State on Saturday by a score of 4,666-4,636. 

The Huskers dominated in smallbore, beating NC State 2,309 - 2,284, led by Denise Martin and Rachel Martin. D. Martin fired a 582, while R. Martin tallied a 581. NU also received help from Nina Radulovic (576), Maggie Mical (572), Jaycee Carter (570) and Alex Lorentz (559).

In air rifle, NU had another solid performance producing a team score of 2,357. The team was led by Carter who finished with a 592, and D. Martin who ended the day with a 590.  Other contributors were R. Martin (586), Radulovic (588), Hannah Virga (587) and Lorentz (584).  NC State’s final air rifle score was 2, 352.

Nebraska competes again on Sunday, Nov. 1 against Army West Point. The match is set to begin at 7 a.m.
