Huskers Continue in Day Three of ITA All-American

Tulsa, Okla. - The Nebraska men's tennis team continues in day three of the Saint Francis Health System ITA Men's All-American Championships at the University of Tulsa. 

The third day consisted of play in the Qualifying Draw and Qualifying Consolation where senior Dusty Boyer played in his first matches returning as a senior competitor for the Huskers and Heach Coach Kerry McDermott

Dusty began the morning with a match-up against Diego Pedraza of Dartmouth. Boyer and Pedraza fought through the first set where Boyer went 6-7(4) winning in the tie-breaker. Pedraza gained control of the match which resulted in a 6-2 and 6-3 mark in the remaining two sets giving Pedraza the win over Boyer. This loss placed Boyer to play in the consolation bracket of the qualifying draw. 

In Qualifying Consolation play, Dusty Boyer regained his stamina against Tulsa's Matthew Kirby. Boyer put the hammer down in the first set going 6-2 followed by a loss in the second set to Kirby 2-6. In the third and final set the duo when head to head which resulted in the set going to a tie-breaker. Boyer came out of the tie on top earning him the win for the match and ending with a third set score of 7-6(2).
