Fayetteville, Ark. - Two members of the Nebraska men's tennis squad competed in the fourth round of ITA tournament play on Saturday.
Seniors Dusty Boyer and Andrew Dzulynsky put up a tough battle in their matches on Saturday but unluckily loss to talented competitors.
After an impressive run at the ITA Regional Championships, Andrew Dzulynsky faced Drake University's Vinny Gillespie who was the No. 14 seed for the tournament. Dzulynsky took hold of the first set where he won in a swift 4-6 mark. Gillespie came back in the following two sets to go 6-3, 6-3 gaining him the overall win of the match-up, and elimating Dzulynsky from the remainder of competition.
No. 7 Dusty Boyer took on No. 12 Julian Cash of OSU. Cash took the upper-hand early on in competition resulting in a 6-1, 6-2 defeat over Boyer which also ended his time playing in the ITA tournament.
The Husker's will hit the court next on Sat. Nov. 7 in Iowa City, Iowa for the Big Ten Indoors. NU looks forward to entering competiton with the elite teams that make up the Big Ten. Scores can be found for the tournament can be found here on Huskers.com following the first day of play.
