Huskers Finish 13th in Ohio

Columbus, Ohio – The Nebraska men’s golf team posted a final round 303 on Sunday en route to a 13th place finish at the Robert Kepler Intercollegiate.

The Huskers finished with a 901 tournament total at The Ohio State University Golf Club’s Scarlet Course. Georgia Tech won the team competition by shooting 848 at the par-71, 7,455-yard layout.

Senior Ross Dickson led NU on Sunday by firing a final round 74, giving him a 9-over-par 222-stroke total and placing him in a tie for 29th. Calvin Freeman and Niko Vui both finished tied for 46th place. Freeman carded a 79 on Sunday after a 71 and 76 on Saturday. Freshman Niko Vui fired a final round 76 after a pair of 75s on Saturday.

Josh Reinertson posted a 74 in the final round after a 76 and 77 in the first two rounds on Saturday. The senior finished the tournament at 14-over-par 227, placing him in a tie for 50th.

Ben Maschka carded an 81 in the final round after a pair of 80s on Saturday. The freshman finished in 74th place.

The Huskers continue the spring campaign at the Hawkeye Invitational in Iowa City, Iowa, April 18-19.
