Deeg Leads Huskers on Final Day in Arizona

Peoria, Ariz. - Nebraska's Cassie Deeg carded a one-under-par 71 to lead the Husker women's golf team to a final-round team score of 296 on its way to a tie for 13th at the Westbrook Spring Invitational on Monday.

Deeg, a junior from Hugo, Minn., posted her top individual round of the tournament to finish with a 54-hole score of 224 (77-76-71) in a tie for 48th.

Emily Gillman produced a solid round of 75 on Monday. The freshman from Austin, Texas, had her score count toward Nebraska's team total in all three rounds, while matching Deeg's 224 (75-74-75) to tie for 48th for the tournament.

Sophomore Jordan Chael, who entered the final round in a tie for third at 141 after rounds of 69 and 72 on Sunday, slipped into a tie for 16th with a 76 on Monday. Chael was Nebraska's top individual finisher with a one-over-par 217 on the par-72, 6,269-yard layout of the Vistas Course at the Westbrook Village Golf Club.
